Transportation may require negotiating two to eight steps getting in and out of a vehicle. Individuals unable to manage the above will be required to arrange for assistance (on their own) prior to trip departure.

GREEN- Activity requires minimal physical exertion & is appropriate for most individuals. Participants can expect leisurely walking on mostly flat surfaces, minimal standing/waiting, and few stairs.
YELLOW- Activity requires moderate physical exertion & is somewhat physically demanding. Participants can expect any or all of the following: significant walking, standing, stairs, and uneven surfaces.
RED-Activity requires significant physical exertion & is very demanding. These trips are designed for individuals who lead very active lives and are comfortable participating in up to 5 hours of physical activity per day. Trip activities will have a high level of intensity and may include exposure to high altitudes, narrow/enclosed areas which may be difficult for persons with mobility or claustrophobic concerns.

Trip Policies

  • Transportation used for outings typically requires you to negotiate 2-8 stairs getting in and out of a vehicle.  People unable to use stairs independently are responsible to make arrangements for personal assistance.
  • Transportation is subject to change.
  • All trips require a minimum number of registrations.  Please adhere to the deadlines as trips will be cancelled if the minimum is not reached.
  • Registration for trips is done on a first-come/first-serve basis.  Payment is due at time of registration.
  • Please arrive at least 15 minutes before departure times.
  • For events where a ticket has been purchased or space booked from an outside agency (theater, travel/bus co., etc) we cannot issue a refund due to a cancellation after registration deadline.
  • Trips/activities cancelled by the city will result in a credit  to your account or a refund will be mailed to you in approximately 3-4 weeks.
  • No credits will be given for cancellations on casino trips; no credit toward future trips.

January 21 - Yuma Day Trip
Our First of four stops will be a guided tour of Yuma Territorial Prison State Historic Park.  The first seven inmates entered the Territorial Prison at Yuma and were locked into the new cells they had built themselves on July 1, 1876. Walk through the actual strap iron cells and solitary chamber of Arizona Territory’s first prison. Second stop will be on your own “Doing the Downtown Stroll”.  There are several restaurants for lunch and shops for you to enjoy as you tour this Old historic town. Third stop is a guided tour Yuma Quartermaster Depot State Historic Park. This beautiful 10-acre park includes five buildings dating back to the Depot's earliest days - some of Arizona's oldest and best-preserved buildings. Other exhibits describe the amazing engineering feats that brought irrigation water to the Yuma Valley - under the Colorado River - in 1912. On our way back to the valley, we will make the Fourth stop at Dateland, AZ  for their world famous Date shake, ice cream and/or sandwich from Quiznos. Lunch is on your own. Price includes admission for both tours and coach transportation.  Min/Max 40/56

February 11 - Pima Air & Space/AMARG Tour/ Tucson, AZ
Pima Air & Space Museum is one of the largest air and space museums in the world, and the largest non-government funded aviation museum. You'll see more than 300 aircraft and spacecraft including many of the most historically significant and technically advanced craft ever produced, both from the United States and throughout the world. The trip includes the AMARG tour of the 309th Aerospace Maintenance Regeneration Group (sometimes called the "Boneyard").  Price includes admission, tours and coach bus transportation. You may purchase lunch at the Flight grill restaurant located in the museum.  Price includes admission and coach bus transportation. Min/Max 40/56

February 25 – Grace Museum of America
The Grace Museum of America is located in Cave Creek, Arizona nestled amidst scenic mountains in the senmountains of the Sonoran Desert. The museum was started by Grace Voss Frederick and houses a collection of historical objects from significant times in American History. According to Frederick, the museum is intended to document America's "transition from a primitive country to a great nation "Many of the items were collected throughout Frederick's life and travels (she lived from 1905–2009).Come see it all - the evolution from the outhouse to indoor plumbing, candles to electric lights, horses to autos, radio and TV to outer space and the computer. Price includes admission, complimentary refreshments and coach transportation. Min/Max 30/40

March 11- Barleen’s Country Jubilee Show – Matinee
Your home for Arizona’s wholesome family entertainment.  Enjoy music, great food, hilarious comedy and more! Savory chicken dinner with mashed potatoes and gravy, home-made stuffing, vegetable medley, cole slaw, whole wheat roll and “Opry chocolate cake.  All meals include coffee and lemonade.  Beer, wine and soft drinks are available at an additional cost. March 18 – Ft. McDowell Casino near Fountain Hills
Fort McDowell offers you 150,000 sq. ft. of some of the finest, most exciting, and most rewarding gaming in the entire Southwest. We provide 866 gaming machines, 55 table and poker games, bingo (12:30-3:45), live keno, poker tournaments and pull-tabs. Lunch is on your own.  Price includes $10 players’ card and Casino coach transportation.  Min/Max: 20/50

Friday, March 28 – Tempe Art Fair
While the Tempe Festival of the Arts focuses on visual art and the artists that create it, there also is a wide variety of other activities for guests to enjoy. Live entertainment provides fun for festival-goers. Performances throughout the venue keep audiences in high spirits throughout the day. In addition to the Festival Stage, street performers, vendors, sponsor exhibits and entertainment booths are set up for the amusement of Festival visitors. Lunch is on your own. Price includes Coach Bus transportation. Min/Max 30/50
