Hanger at the Phoenix-Goodyear Airport

Terminal at the Phoenix-Goodyear Airport

The Phoenix-Goodyear Airport, once a naval air facility, is located in the heart of Goodyear's Employment Corridor. The airport boasts an 8500-foot runway and is classified as a reliever airport to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. The City of Phoenix has made numerous improvements at the airport, including T-hangars, ramp space, tie-downs and an upgraded airfield, and has recently constructed a new executive terminal.

Phoenix-Goodyear, a general aviation airport, has provided services for private and corporate pilots arriving for the Super Bowl, the Fiesta Bowl, Phoenix Coyotes games and NASCAR events. The Airport welcomed its first fixed base operator (FBO) in 2007 to better serve arriving and departing pilots.

The airport was recently named the 2008 Arizona Airport of the Year by the Arizona Department of Transportation Aeronautics Division. The air traffic control tower at Phoenix-Goodyear also received a major honor -- 2008 Air Traffic Facility of the Year by Serco Management Services, Inc. Serco contracts with the Federal Aviation Administration to operate 57 air traffic control towers in the western United States. Serco also named a Goodyear Air Traffic Controller as Controller of the Year for contract towers.

Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is located 25 minutes east of Goodyear. Services are offered to virtually all U.S markets, as well as non-stop flights to Mexico, Canada, and Europe.
