How can you help? Make every effort to keep up the appearance of your residential neighborhood. Removing graffiti quickly is the best way for homeowners to protect their property and preserve the image of their neighborhood. Build in prevention measures by incorporating shrubs, thorny plants and vines to restrict vandal access to residence walls, fences, sheds, and other graffiti targets. Finally, organize a Neighborhood Block Watch to help law enforcement keep tabs on criminal activity in your neighborhood. Work with neighbors and law enforcement to keep your community graffiti free. To Report Graffiti Needing Removed
Please contact Code Compliance at 623-882-7815 to report graffiti on city utility boxes or right-of-ways, or search the app store for "myGoodyear" to download to your iPhone or Droid. It is the goal of the City to have graffiti removed from city property within 48 business hours. The City will assist in notifying neighborhood associations, business owners or other government entities of the need to remove the blight.

If You See Graffiti in Progress
Contact the Goodyear Police Department immediately at 623-932-1220 if you see the crime happening. However, all cases of graffiti should be reported to the Police. A police report is then created, which is important for law enforcement as they track these activities. In addition, homeowners who have become victims of may need the incident report when submitting a claim to their insurance company. This report may be taken over the phone or an officer can come to your location.

This program is sponsored by the City of Phoenix. You do not have to give your name or other identification and you could receive a reward of up to $250.
