Household Hazardous Waste Drop-off at Goodyear Ballpark November 2
Do you have discarded household hazardous waste sitting around your house, but don’t know how to get rid of it?
Bring it to Parking Lot 3 at Goodyear Ballpark at 1933 South Ballpark Way between the hours of 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, November 2. The parking lot is off of Estrella Parkway, south of Yuma Road at Goodyear Boulevard.
That morning, city officials will be collecting household hazardous waste materials such as paint, aerosols, anti-freeze, old cans of motor oils, kerosene and tires (without the rims and a limit of five) among numerous other materials.
The event is open to residents of Goodyear, Avondale, Litchfield Park and Tolleson, and there is no fee to drop off items.
Electronic waste such as cell phones, televisions, DVD players and VCRs also will be accepted.
Among the items that will not be accepted include: 55-Gallon drums of waste, air conditioners, ammunition, explosives, asbestos, glass, medical waste or appliances.
No materials will be accepted after 12 p.m.
Commercial and industrial waste will not be accepted.
- Proof of residency in the form of an active utility bill or driver’s license.
- Materials should be tightly sealed in their original containers, if possible.
- Items with glass should be wrapped to avoid breakage.
- Materials should be transported in a sturdy cardboard box in the vehicle trunk or truck bed.
- Personnel will be available at the event to identify and unload materials.

Aerosols, Anti-Freeze, Art & Hobby Supplies, Automotive Glue, Automotive Products, Bait, Batteries,, Brake Fluid, Brake Sprays, Carburetor Cleaners, Caulking, Charcoal Lighters, Cleaners & Waxes, Compressor Oils, Correction Fluids, Cutting Oils, Engine Degreasers, Fertilizers, Fire Extinguishers,, Flammables, Fluorescent Tubes, Fuel Additives, Fungicides, Gardening Supplies, Gasoline, Herbicides, Injector Sprays, Insecticides, Kerosene, Lacquers, Linseed Oil, Lubricants, Metal Conditioners, Mineral Spirits, Motor Oil, Nail Polish & Removers, Oil Filters, Paint-Related Materials, Paint Removers, Photography Chemicals, Poisons, Primers, Propane Tanks, Rubbing Alcohol, Rug and Upholstery Cleaners, Sealers, Shoe Polishes, Smoke Detectors, Solvents, Spot Removers, Wood Stains, Thermometers, Thermostats, Tires (Passenger-type tires ONLY, Wheels and rims must be removed from tires, No large or off-road tires, five-tire-per-vehicle limit, Transmission Fluids, Varnishes.
Electronic Waste also accepted:
Computer Monitors and Peripherals, Home and Car Stereos, Cell Phones, Televisions, DVD Players, Cable Boxes, VCRs, Anything with a circuit board.
Items that will NOT be accepted:
55-Gallon Drums of Waste, Air Conditioners, Ammunition, Appliances, Asbestos, Biological / Infectious Waste, Commercial Waste, Explosives, Food Waste, Glass, Large Truck Tires, Medical Waste, Metals, Papers/Newspapers, Passenger Tires with Rims, Plastics, Radioactive Waste, Refrigerators, Solid Waste for Landfills, Stove /Ovens, Syringes, Water Heaters.
