Goodyear Police Participate in City Pool’s Emergency Response Drill
GOODYEAR, Ariz. - In an effort to reinforce water safety messages and to train City employees on emergency response at the city pools, the Goodyear Police and Fire departments will assist in the annual emergency response drill at Goodyear Municipal Pool. The purpose of this training is to review the protocol and procedures when an emergency event occurs. The following is an outline of what is anticipated in this training and an approximate time line.
Statement of the objective of the training
Set up staff with observers, trainees, and incident actors.
Victim is rescued and appropriate protocol followed
Fire arrives and follows their protocol
Ambulance arrives and follows their protocol
Risk Manager will review:
(Lead off will be a brief discussion with 911 center representative)
WHO: Goodyear Police and Fire partner with Goodyear Municipal Pool, Parks and Recreation and Risk Management
WHAT: Annual Emergency Response Drill
