A Tale of Two Cities Parade & Festival
Spectators are encouraged to use Indian School Road to reach 137th Avenue to park at St. Thomas Aquinas Church or to reach Dysart Road to enter the Estrella Mountain Community College parking lot. Spectators can also use Palm Valley Boulevard to reach the Palm Valley Elementary School parking lot on 135th Avenue.
Saturday, February 16 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Celebrate the cultures and heritage of nations from around the world at the Goodyear/Avondale A Tale of Two Cities Parade & Festival International Celebration. The parade begins at 10 a.m. at Litchfield and Thomas roads. Bring your folding chairs, blankets, food and drink and settle in anywhere along the parade route for a fun and colorful morning of floats, marching bands, horses, clowns, dance troupes, and vintage cars. After the parade, walk or drive to the festival at the corner of Dysart and Thomas roads on the Estrella Mountain Community College campus. The festival starts at noon. Admission is free and includes multi-cultural entertainment, unique gourmet food, a kids’ zone, bouncies, vendor booths, and fun contests.
