Goodyear Invites Residents to “Block Parties”

for Food, Fun, Song and Recycling Facts

(GOODYEAR, AZ) Goodyear residents are encouraged to pack up the family and come out for fun, food, games, and give-aways and important trash and recycling information at any of the four block parties still to be held throughout the city between Aug. 17 and Aug. 31. The first of five block parties was held Aug. 3 at Desert Edge High School.

Goodyear’s famous employee singing group, Curby & the Collectors, will be performing three to four songs with “trashy” lyrics to help residents learn about their new trash and recycling program. In addition to food, there will be games for the kids and recycling giveaways. Lots of information about the new sanitation program  -- including the Do’s and Don’ts of recycling --will be available as well as the new containers so residents can see them up close.  The big sanitation trucks will also be on display for the kids.
