HOA Classes Offered at Estrella Mountain College

(GOODYEAR, AZ) - In partnership with the Southwest Valley Citizen's Academy, the City of Goodyear Neighborhood Services Division is hosting a class to teach citizens all about the responsibilities and challenges of running a homeowner's association.

HOA 102 - More Basics of Homeowner Associations takes place on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2006 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Estrella Mountain Community College, 3000 N. Dysart Road in Avondale. The cost is $29 per student. Topics to be covered by Beth Mulcahy, Esq. of Mulcahy Law Firm, P.C., and Goodyear's Code Compliance Manager, Gail Bosgieter include legal issues, transition process, reserve studies, CC&Rs, City code compliance, insurance, and new legislation. Tony Ledvina, Vice President of Capital Consultants Management Corporation will review the evolution of Community Associations, forms of management and provide advise on how to select and manage a management company and subcontractors.

"The HOA 102 class will be informative to all HOA leaders and residents.  This class stands alone; the HOA 101 class we offer in the spring is equally valuable but not a prerequisite to this five hour training," explains Lili Schuett,

Neighborhood and Volunteer Manager for the City of Goodyear Community Services department.

For more information, call 623-935-8426. To register, call 623-935-8889.
