Goodyear Offers Babysitting Class


(GOODYEAR, AZ) - The City of Goodyear Recreation Department and Cross' Lifeline Emergency Training is offering this community education and safety program on Saturday, May 19. This babysitting class covers child safety and basic care techniques for infants and children. The course provides fundamental information for home, childcare workers or babysitters. Topics include pediatric CPR and first aid, feeding, burping and diapering. Participants will receive a workbook along with a certification card good for two years.


Date: Saturday, May 19, 2007, 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Ages: 10 to 18 years old

Location: Goodyear Community Center, 420 E. Loma Linda Blvd.

Prices: Resident - $50, Non-resident - $55          


Registration takes place at Goodyear Public Works, Recreation Division, 200 South Calle del Pueblo, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through May 17, 2007. (there is a $10 late fee after May 17). Payment may be made by check, cash (exact change), money order or major credit card. Online registration is available at Space is limited and the class may be filled at any time.
