Goodyear Offers CPR Class for Teens and Adults


(GOODYEAR, AZ) Ð The City of Goodyear Recreation Department is offering a class in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on Saturday, May 12. This class, taught by the Goodyear Fire Department, provides comprehensive understanding of the skills necessary to perform CPR in an emergency situation until professional help arrives. Instruction will include CPR for adults, children and infants, external defibrillator (AED) training and how to respond to a choking adult, child or infant. Participants will receive a two-year certification after successful completion of this course.


This class is for the general public and does not meet requirements for the health care professional.


Date: Saturday, May 12, 2007, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Ages: 14 and up

Location: Goodyear Community Center, 420 E. Loma Linda Blvd.

Prices: Resident - $35, Non-resident - $40


Registration takes place at Goodyear Public Works, Recreation Division, 200 South Calle del Pueblo, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through May 10, 2007. (there is a $10 late fee after May 10). Payment may be made by check, cash (exact

change), money order or major credit card. Online registration is available at Space is limited and the class may be filled at any time.
