Learn about 1,000+ Government Benefit and Assistance Programs on Goodyear’s Website


(GOODYEAR, AZ) The City of Goodyear is providing links on its website to and to help residents find assistance from State and Federal government programs., (, the official benefits website of the U.S. Government, quickly connects you with a list of benefit and assistance programs tailored to your specific needs. This free and confidential website has 1,000 Federal and State administered benefit and assistance programs for veterans, seniors, children, the disabled, military dependents, disaster victims, farmers, job seekers, prospective homeowners, and more.


“Rather than trying to figure out which agency to call, citizens can simply log on the Internet from home, their community center or public library and quickly get the information they need on one website,” said Program Manager Curtis Turner.


These two links are assessable from either the “Resource Directory,” in the top navigation bar or the Community Guide on the left menu. Upon entering the Resource Directory, these links will be found by selecting the “Government” category and then clicking on Search.


There are several ways to search for benefit and assistance programs using Citizens can use the free and confidential questionnaire to help them locate the programs that best fit their needs. The questionnaire takes just 5-10 minutes to complete and will provide you with a list of program you are most likely eligible to receive. Each program is accompanied by a program description, eligibility criteria and contact information on how to apply. You can also search for programs by federal agency, or the state you reside in. has information on a variety of programs, including Medicaid, Unemployment Insurance, PLUS Parent Loans, Head Start and Early Head Start, and more.


Citizens are encouraged to visit this site regularly, particularly when life events – such as applying for college, seeking food and nutrition services, property damage following a storm, retirement, starting a business, etc. – occur that could make you eligible for assistance programs.
