Instant Guitar For Today’s Busy Teens Offered by Goodyear

(Goodyear) If you have always wanted to learn how to play the guitar, but are never able to fine the time for lessons, October 2nd from 4:00 - 6:30 p.m. is your day!  That’s when the Goodyear Parks and Recreation brings Craig Coffman in to teach his very popular class - “Instant Guitar for Hopelessly Busy Teens.”

This ONE-TIME, 3-hour class will teach you the basics of playing chords on the guitar so that you can start having fun right away playing your favorite songs. Coffman came up with the idea for this class after teaching a very similar class on the piano for over 15 years. “Over 20,000 students have attended my ‘Instant Piano’ class with great results and it occurred to me that the same principles apply to the guitar,” stated Coffman. “Many young people want to learn the guitar, but the time and money involved in taking private lessons keeps them away. With this class I am able to give them enough information and tools that they can go home right away and teach themselves what they want to learn.”

Many students just want to learn how to play simple tunes and they can start doing this right away. For others that want to go further, Coffman can point them towards the right materials to help them go down this road. In the class, some of the commons mistakes people make and the hurdles that prevent them from learning the guitar are discussed so students avoid these hurdles and are much more likely to succeed.

You don’t need to know anything at all about music or the guitar to attend the class. This is designed for the absolute beginner. No one will be put “on the spot” or embarrassed. If you have the desire and the motivation to practice you can learn this instrument. The emphasis here is on learning for your own enjoyment and having fun. For more information about the teaching method, please contact Craig Coffman at 602-750-3173.

For more information about the class, the cost of the class and to register, please call Goodyear Parks and Recreation at 623-882-7525. Be sure to bring your acoustic guitar.
