Dedication ceremony for new Water Resources Administration Building
GOODYEAR, AZ – Goodyear residents are invited to join Goodyear’s Mayor, city councilmembers and staff at a brief dedication ceremony for the new Water Resources Administration Building at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, January 22.
The public is welcome to tour the building after the ceremony. The new facility is located at 4980 South 157th Avenue, and can be reached by taking Estrella Parkway to the entrance of the City’s dog park, just north of the Gila River bridge.
Water Resources Director Shawn Bradford says the new headquarters for all water and wastewater operations will make his staff much more efficient. “Having everyone under the same roof offers greater communication capabilities and much more efficient training opportunities.” Staff moved into the building in early December.
The residential-looking, stucco building with mission tile roof was built in a Tuscan style that complements the housing being built in the area.
