Rolling out the red carpet at Phoenix Goodyear Airport to welcome visitors to Super Bowl
GOODYEAR, AZ – Goodyear volunteers will be on hand to greet pilots and passengers arriving at the Phoenix Goodyear Airport for the Super Bowl this weekend.
Goodyear’s Economic Development welcome team will assist Sun Western Flyers, the new fixed-base operator at Phoenix Goodyear Airport, as they host pilots and their passengers coming in over this busy weekend. The welcome team will showcase Goodyear as a dynamic, progressive community.
As many as 100 to 120 aircraft are expected to fly into Phoenix Goodyear Airport this weekend for the Super Bowl and related activities. Reservations are already confirmed for 60 jets and aircraft, according to Sun Western Flyers’ chief operating officer, Tim Berger.
Goodyear volunteers will present arriving guests with welcome bags filled with a hot-off-the-press directory to dining, golf, shopping and hotels in Goodyear, bottled water, maps, and other local information. This touch of hospitality will inspire visitors to return, and to consider Goodyear for their next personal or business relocation.
