Goodyear names City Manager finalists
GOODYEAR, AZ – Three finalists have been named for the position of City Manager for the city of Goodyear. The finalists will receive a tour of the city on March 18, and are scheduled for interviews with councilmembers on March 19 and 20.
John Fischbach, County Administrator, Jefferson County, Washington.
Previous experience – served as City Manager for: Fort
Collins, Colo., population 130,000; Vancouver, Washington, population
67,000; Lake Forest, Ill., population 20,000; Robbinsdale, Minn.,
Education – Master's Degree in Public Administration from the
University of Kansas; Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from
Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Wash.; Certification in Public
Administration and Urban Affairs from Oregon State University.
Phillip L. Nelson, City Manager, Troy, Michigan.
Previous experience – City Manager, Northglenn, Colo., population
37,038; City Manager, Derby, Kansas, population 19,000; County
Administrator, Barton County, Kansas, population 31,113; Assistant
City Administrator, Great Bend, Kansas, population 16,685; City
Administrator, Valley Center, Kansas, population 5,000; Transportation
and Land Use Planner, Wichita-Sedgwick County Metropolitan Area
Planning Department, population, 344,000.
Education – Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Fort Hays State
