Goodyear citizens needed for Ethics Committee
GOODYEAR, AZ – The city of Goodyear is seeking citizens to serve on an ad hoc Ethics Committee that will provide input and assist in the development of an Ethics Policy for city staff and elected officials. The 11-member committee will serve as a forum for policy and ethics discussion.
Committee members will likely be required to meet one or two times per month for a period of up to six months.
The committee will present findings and recommendations to the city council and will serve as advisers to the Mayor and Council, helping them identify resources and requirements needed to implement the policy.
The Ethics Committee will be made up of 11 citizens, as well as the city attorney and one city staff person who will serve as ex officio members.
Citizens can apply for the committee on Goodyear’s website: www.goodyearaz.gov. Click on Boards, Commission & Ad Hoc Committees on the homepage and then click on the line to apply for committees. You can fill out the form and submit it online.
Applications are due by May 9.
