I-10 will remain open in both directions during this time. Work will occur only on weekdays from 1 a.m. Tuesday and will re-open for the weekends at 4 a.m. on Friday, and will last for approximately three to four weeks. Northbound and southbound access on Litchfield Road crossing underneath I-10 will be closed. The I-10 expansion project has been developed to provide additional lanes between Verrado Way and Loop 101. The freeway expansion includes adding new outside lanes and widening in to the median to improve east/west traffic flow for the West Valley. This project is one of the first elements of the Regional Transportation Plan for Maricopa County and is funded through a voter-approved sales tax to improve and construct new roads throughout the Valley during the next 20 years.

More information on the Regional Transportation Plan is available at www.azdot.gov/ValleyFreeways.
