Goodyear offers free water conservation workshop for K-12 teachers
GOODYEAR, AZ – Educators, teachers, youth leaders – don’t miss this free workshop introducing Arizona Conserve Water, Educator’s Guide. There will be hands-on lessons about the invention of water conservation devices, group decision-making, and case studies of Arizona communities’ water conservation efforts.
The workshop is open to all teachers, educators and youth leaders living or teaching in the West Valley. Others will be enrolled on a space available basis. Attendees will receive a free copy of the educator’s guide and some simple water conservation tools.
The Arizona Conserve Water K-12 curriculum uses multi-disciplinary studies to approach the science, history, management and conservation of Arizona’s water and watersheds.
The workshop is presented by the city of Goodyear, the Arizona Department of Water Resources Phoenix Active Management Area and Arizona Project WET.
