Dec. 29 deadline approaches for applications to serve
on Goodyear’s Planning and Zoning Commission
GOODYEAR, ARIZ. (Dec. 15, 2008) – The
City of Goodyear has one vacant seat on the Planning and Zoning Commission.
The deadline to submit applications is 5 p.m. Monday, Dec.
successful applicant must be a resident of Goodyear and available to serve for
a term of three years. There is a three-term limit.
The Planning and Zoning Commission reviews all aspects of proposed and
future development including future growth, site planning and the relationship
of the development to the surrounding environment and the community.
The Commission also provides recommendations to the City Council on
General Plan Amendments, proposed developments, rezonings, use permits,
ordinance amendments, and other development-related issues.
The Planning and Zoning Commissioners are appointed by the City Council
for three-year terms.
Monthly meetings are held on the third Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m.
Planning Commissioners may also be required to attend additional meetings and
work sessions. Commission members must be residents of the City of Goodyear.
