Census worker testing in January at Goodyear City Hall
GOODYEAR, ARIZ. (Dec. 22, 2008) – The U.S. Census Bureau is gearing up for the 2010 Census and needs your help to make sure everyone is counted. This is important to Goodyear because the higher our population the more dollars we receive from state-shared revenues.
Several thousand workers will be hired for field positions in Maricopa County. Positions range from Clerks to Field Operations Supervisors, with pay ranging from $11.25 to $16.50 per hour, depending upon the position.
Applicants must take a test to qualify to work for the Census Bureau. To arrange to be tested, please call 502-427-0680. If the phone is busy, leave your name and phone number on the message system and your call will be returned.
Testing will take place at Goodyear City Hall, 190 N. Litchfield Rd., Room 117 at
9 a.m. on the following dates:
Thurs., Jan. 8
Wed., Jan. 14
Tues., Jan. 20
The test includes 28 multiple-choice questions and takes 30 minutes. However, the testing and application completion takes a total of about two hours. Practice tests are available and can be picked up from a kiosk in Goodyear City Hall Lobby Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
As census jobs become available, qualified applicants will be called. Applicants are place on hiring lists in the order of their test scores, from highest to lowest.
