Goodyear Police Department receives
GOODYEAR, ARIZ. (Dec. 31, 2008) – The Goodyear Police Department recently received
notice of two grant awards.
The Governor's Office of Children, Youth and Families
awarded Goodyear $43,550 to be used to continue the city’s crime victim
assistance program, providing services to victims of domestic violence. The
funding comes from the U.S. Department of Justice, STOP Violence Against Women
The U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, Bureau of Justice Assistance also awarded
Goodyear $7,150 from its Bullet Proof Vest Partnership Program. The funds are
to be spent during the upcoming two years and are to be used for outfitting
Goodyear Police Officers with bulletproof vests.
