Where can I find out which pharmacies take the card?
Is it a better deal than my regular drug coverage?
If a drug is not covered your regular insurance, the card may be used for a discount on the retail price of some medications. Not all medications are eligible for a discount, however. Check the Caremark website for covered drugs and pricing.
Can I use it in combination with my other prescription drug insurance?
No, the card cannot be used in conjunction with other insurance. However, the card may be used to purchase prescriptions at a discount that are not covered by your insurance plan.
I tried to use this at a pharmacy in GY and they never heard of the program and didn't give me my discount. Why not?
Not all pharmacies accept the discount card. Check the Caremark website for a list of participating pharmacies in your area.
The pharmacy only gave me 5 percent off; why didn't I get the 20 percent discount?
The discounts are UP TO 20 percent, and in many cases are less than 20 percent. See Caremark's website for details.
Why doesn't the discount card cover my medication?
Not all drugs are covered, only certain "commonly prescribed" drugs. Check Caremark's website for details.
Why can't I get the discount on my $4 generic drug filled at Walmart?
The discount is applicable only to retail pricing on certain specified drugs. It cannot be used for an additional discount on the already-discounted generic programs offered by Walmart and other retail pharmacies.
