2009 Goodyear Symphony
at the Ballpark
GOODYEAR, ARIZ. (April 20, 2009) – The music of great film composers
will be featured at the 2009 Goodyear Symphony Pops Concert on Saturday, May 9.

This year the symphony moves to a new location – the new Goodyear Ballpark at 1933 S. Ballpark Way, east of Estrella Parkway and south of Yuma Ave.

adults ($18 for Goodyear residents), $15 for students with valid ID, $5 for
children ages 10 and under. A limited number of VIP tickets are available at
$100 each, and include special seating and hors d’oeuvres.

This will be his third year conducting the popular annual performance.

offered to audience members at no additional charge. The children’s arts and
crafts area and petting zoo is open 5:30 to 7 p.m.
On-site food vendors will be offering local favorites. Wine
and beer will also be available for purchase.
Food rules this year are different from past symphony
performances held elsewhere, and are subject to the same regulations as games
and events at Goodyear Ballpark. Visitors may bring the following food and
beverages into the Ballpark:
sealed, pre-packaged single serving snack items
factory-sealed plastic water bottle (non-carbonated and colorless water only)
not exceeding 1 liter in size per person
single serving juice drinks in factory-sealed box or pouch package
and baby food
No alcohol, glass containers, or chairs, may be brought into the event.
Goodyear Symphony Pops Concert is presented by the West Valley Arts Council and
sponsored by the City of Goodyear, APS, Gloria King in memory of Jim King, Sr., University of the
Incarnate Word, and Bales Hay and Feed.
