Goodyear wins four national awards for marketing and communications
GOODYEAR, ARIZ. (Sept. 30, 2009) The City of Goodyear walked away with four awards for outstanding communications and marketing efforts during the 21st Annual 3CMA Savvy Awards Ceremony at the Doubletree Paradise Valley in Scottsdale, Arizona.
The Goodyear Ballpark entry for Economic Development Marketing and Tools, received both the Savvy and the President's awards. The President's Award is the top marketing award in the country, and only one winner is named each year. Goodyear's Ballpark program was singled out for this highest honor as the entry that best reflects 3CMA?s commitment to local government marketing. The judges said the Goodyear Ballpark program demonstrated dramatic results that raised the bar for all in communications and marketing.
The judges lauded Goodyear's Ballpark entry as an excellent campaign with great materials and use of promo items. "Effective strategy and execution; very good collateral; great campaign. Excellent statement of problems and well thought out solutions. Beautiful marketing collateral. Excellent use of media."
INFOCUS, the magazine delivered to all Goodyear residents, received two awards in the Printed Publication category: the Magazine Savvy Award and the Award of Excellence for a Citizen Newsletter.
"Goodyear's INFOCUS magazine lures the prospective reader with its stylish delivery of news and information that is provided in a highly cost-effective manner," said the judges.
