Goodyear Ballpark's Spring Training Suite Donation Program

GOODYEAR, ARIZ. (Jan. 21, 2010)  The City of Goodyear is accepting requests from nonprofit groups interested in using the Luxury Suites at Goodyear Ballpark for fundraising purposes. The use of 10 suites during available Spring Training games is made possible through a donation by the City of Goodyear in cooperation with the Cleveland Indians and the Cincinnati Reds.

The deadline for submitting requests for the 2010 Spring Training Season is 5 p.m., Friday, February 5. Groups selected to receive use of the donated suites will be notified by February 12 of the award and the date of the game selected for their attendance. Spring Training games at Goodyear Ballpark are every day from March 5 through April 3, 2010. The donated awards include only admission and use of the Luxury Suites. Food and beverage packages are available separately for purchase by the group.

Requests must include a brief history of the nonprofit organization, its organizational structure and services, and the mission of the group. All requests must describe the intended use for the funds generated through the suite donation, including details of the population served, demographics and the overall projected community impact on the City of Goodyear.

A selection committee comprised of representatives of the City of Goodyear, the Cleveland Indians, and the Cincinnati Reds will manage the award and distribution of the suites. Criteria for evaluating requests will include the history of the organization, organizational structure, services and mission of the group, and the intended use for the funds generated through the suite donation and the overall projected community impact on the City of Goodyear.
