Indians-Reds Charity Game Matchup March 17
Proceeds to benefit Southwest Valley YMCA
GOODYEAR, ARIZ. (March 16, 2010)
The Cleveland Indians and Cincinnati Reds will enhance their partnership with the City of Goodyear by announcing that all proceeds from their matchup at Goodyear Ballpark on St. Patrick's Day Wednesday, March 17 at 7:05 p.m. will be donated to the Southwest Valley Family YMCA based in Goodyear, Ariz.
"The proceeds generated from this game will directly benefit families and youth with vital programs and services they need while enduring the challenges they are facing," said Southwest Valley Family YMCA Executive Director Ron Sites. "Programs like childcare, youth obesity, aquatics, youth sports, teen programs and family facility memberships are just a few that are supported through funding we receive from great organizations like the Reds, Indians and City of Goodyear."
Revenue from ticket sales, merchandise, concessions and parking will directly impact the Southwest Valley Family YMCA. Fans wishing to support this cause can purchase tickets for the March 17 game in person at the Goodyear Ballpark Ticket Office and online at www.indians.com and www.reds.com.
Indians Manager Manny Acta and Reds Manager Dusty Baker along with representatives from the two clubs and youth from the Southwest Valley YMCA will all participate in ceremonies pregame and during the game.
To celebrate St. Patrick?s Day at Goodyear Ballpark for this special event night, fans will enjoy Irish music throughout the game, green beer at the concession stands, green bases pregame and the Reds will be wearing green hats.
