Waste Day for Goodyear residents
GOODYEAR, ARIZ. (June 2, 2010) Goodyear residents can
drop off old cans of paint, car batteries, televisions, computers, cell phones
and other household hazardous waste between 8 a.m. and 12 noon on Saturday,
June 5 at Goodyear City Hall, 190 N. Litchfield Road.
The Household Hazardous Waste event is free and open to Goodyear
residents only, and proof of residency is required (driver's license, recent
Only residential hazardous waste will be accepted.
Commercial waste will not be accepted.
Hazardous waste materials should be placed in a cardboard box and
transported in the trunk or truck bed of the vehicle.
Acceptable items include:
Home repair chemicals: paint, thinners, solvents, adhesives
Automotive liquids: motor oil, antifreeze, car batteries,
Electronics: televisions, cell phones, VCRs, computers
Lawn chemicals: pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers
Household batteries, poisons, pool chemicals, fire extinguishers
Up to five passenger-type tires (no wheels or rims and no truck
Items that will NOT be accepted include large truck tires,
passenger tires with rims, 55-gallon drums of waste,
air conditioners, appliances, ammunition, biological and medical waste, glass,
metals, plastics, water heaters.
