Residents can use city website to find jobs
with companies registered in Goodyear
GOODYEAR, ARIZ. (Sept. 2, 2010) Residents of Goodyear are invited to check out the city's new one-stop job listings section on the website for positions with companies in Goodyear with current job openings. This free service is offered to residents of Goodyear and companies located in the City of Goodyear which have current business registration permits. All businesses in Goodyear are required have a registration permit.
The City of Goodyear wants to make it easy for Goodyear residents to find jobs close to home. The 2010 Citizen Survey showed that 80 percent of working residents commuting out of Goodyear travel more than 20 miles roundtrip to work each day.
Goodyear's official website reaches a huge audience, and offers great outreach opportunities to prospective local employees. The City of Goodyear's website has an average of 60,000 visits per month with 184,000 page views. "JOBS" is one of the most frequently visited pages. The website has steadily gained about 27,500 new visitors each month.
In the past, the city only posted jobs for employment with the City of Goodyear. Now, all Goodyear businesses and companies registered and doing business in the city can post available jobs on the official city website, and residents can view jobs available with companies located in Goodyear and close to home.
· To post a job available with a company located in Goodyear, log on to www.goodyearaz.gov and click on the green JOBS button at the bottom of the homepage. Then click on Advertise Available Jobs for a form to complete and submit.
· To find a job with a Goodyear employer, log on to www.goodyearaz.gov and click on the same green JOBS button. For jobs with the city government, click on City of Goodyear government jobs. For jobs with local Goodyear companies, click on Jobs in the Goodyear Community for a listing of Goodyear employers who are recruiting employees for local jobs, along with job descriptions and contact information for the employer.
Only about 25 percent of Goodyear's working households have someone employed within the city. As the economy improves and companies expand their hiring plans, the City of Goodyear looks forward to hosting a growing list of Goodyear employers recruiting on the city's website.
