GOODYEAR, ARIZ. (Sept. 27, 2010) Don't miss the next in the Hot Coffee series, "Adventurous Spirits: Arizona's Women Artists, 1900-1950" presented by Arizona State University professor Betsy Fahlman at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 7 at Ground Control Coffee, 14140 W. Indian School Road, Goodyear. Free.
Kate Cory, Marjorie Thomas, Lillian Wilhelm Smith, Jessie Benton Evans and Mary-Russell Ferrell Colton, who helped found the Museum of Northern Arizona in 1928, are just a few of the featured talented women artists of Arizona.
Join us for a discussion of these artists and Mary Jane Colter, architect of Hopi House at the Grand Canyon and Winslow's La Posada Hotel.
Hot Coffees are hosted by Goodyear Parks and Recreation and the Arts and Culture Commission, and are free and open to the public. No reservations necessary.
