When it's time for a drink, head to the sink

Goodyear celebrates Drinking Water Week

GOODYEAR, ARIZ.  (May 18, 2011)  Join the city of Goodyear and the American Water Works Association in celebrating Drinking Water Week 2011, May 1 through 7.

Drinking Water Week recognizes the importance of a safe, reliable water supply to the success and health of our community.  The water supply is often taken for granted until it is threatened by drought, water main breaks or other system failures.  Our water supply is more than a source of one of life's most critical elements. It also creates jobs, attracts industry and investment, and supports the health and welfare of citizens in ways ranging from disease prevention to fire suppression.

Water is our most precious natural resource. Tap water is the perfect choice for drinking water. It's safe, reliable, and promotes conservation.

So remember....When it's time for a drink, head to the sink. Tap water is the beverage of choice during Drinking Water Week beginning May 1.
