Don't miss household hazardous waste disposal Oct. 29
ARIZ. (Oct. 12, 2011) Don't forget! Mark your calendars! Goodyear residents can
drop off their household hazardous waste from 8 a.m. to noon on Sat., Oct. 29
in the Goodyear City Hall parking lot, 190 N. Litchfield Rd., on the southwest
corner of Van Buren Street.
There is no charge, but proof of residency in Goodyear is
required, such as a City of Goodyear utility bill. Only residential hazardous
waste is accepted. No commercial waste. Bring your household hazardous waste
materials in a cardboard box in the trunk or truck bed of vehicles.
Acceptable items include most electronics, televisions,
cell phones, VCRs, and computers; lawn chemicals, pesticides, herbicides,
fertilizers; home repair chemicals, paint, thinners, solvents, adhesives;
automotive products like motor oil, antifreeze, car batteries and gasoline;
passenger car tires without wheels or rims (but no more than five per resident,
and no truck tires); household items like pool chemicals, batteries, poisons
and fire extinguishers.
Items NOT accepted are glass, metal, plastic, truck tires,
passenger tires on rims, 55 gallon drums of waste, air conditioners,
appliances, ammunition, biological or medical waste, and water heaters.
