Firefighters to Honor 10th Anniversary of 9/11

(Goodyear, AZ) The United Goodyear Firefighters Local 4005 in partnership with the City of Goodyear Fire Department will be hosting their Third Annual 9/11 Memorial Pancake Breakfast.  This year’s event will mark the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks that took the lives of police officers, firefighters, military personnel, and civilians in one of the largest domestic acts of terrorism on American soil in modern history.  The community is invited to join both firefighters and police officers on this special day of remembrance.   

Date: Sunday, September 11, 2011

Location: Goodyear Fire Station #183, located at 3075 N. Litchfield Road, Goodyear, Az. 85395 (South of Indian School Road on Litchfield Road)

Event Times:

7:30 a.m.  

  • Flag Raising- Goodyear Fire and Police honor guards.
  • Master of Ceremonies- Battalion Chief William Bishop
  • Invocation- Rev. Tim Newbill
  • Memorial Speeches- Fire Chief Mark Gaillard & Police Chief Bill Cusson                          


8:00 a.m. - Pancake Breakfast served

Please come join your local firefighters and police officers as they memorialize the 10th anniversary of September 11th 2001 and enjoy a pancake breakfast with all donations going to support firefighter’s charities in our community.
