7.B. (11-4617) Council approved a request from Robert Carlson, representing McLane Beverage Distribution, Inc., for a new Series 04 liquor license, #04077008 for McLane Beverage Distribution, located at 14149 W. McDowell Road.
7.C. (11-4621) Council appointed Victoria James and Kabria Nelson to serve on the Youth Commission for a two-year term which expires May 31, 2013, and Jeanette Hopper to serve for a one-year term which expires May 31, 2012.
7.D. (11-4641) Council appointed Wally Campbell as representative and Joanne Osborne as the alternate to the Maricopa County Community Development Advisory Council.
7.E. (11-4642) Council adopted Resolution 11-1431, declaring and adopting the results of the General Election held on May 17, 2011 and ordering the recordation of such resolution.
7.F. (11-4624) Council approved current fiscal year (FY) 2010-11 second and third quarter budget transfers.
7.G. (11-4640) Council approved FY 11/12 community funding distribution for non-profits as recommended by City Council sub-committee.
8.A. (11-4604) This item to consider a liquor license application for Cancer Treatment Centers of America was removed from the agenda by the applicant.
8.B. (11-4639) Council adopted Ordinance 11-1239 relating to the Privilege License Tax; amending the City tax code by decreasing the food for home consumption rate of taxation from two and one-half percent (2.5%) to two and one-quarter percent (2.25%); providing for severability; designating an effective date and making provision for existing contracts.
8.C. (11-4625) Council adopted Resolution 11-1430 adopting the tentative estimates of the amounts required for the public expense for the City of Goodyear for the fiscal year 2011-12 adopting a tentative budget; setting forth the receipts and the amounts estimated as collectible for the previous fiscal year; the amount proposed to be raised by direct property taxation for the various purposes; giving notice of the time for hearing taxpayers; for adopting of budget and fixing the tax levies.
