7.A. Council approved draft minutes from the Special Meeting, Worksession and Regular Meeting held on December 6, 2010; and the Special Meeting and Regular Meeting held on December 13, 2010.
7.B. 11-4560 Council adopted Ordinance No. 11-1230 amending Chapter 3 (Percent for Art Program), Section 3-9-3(A) of the Goodyear City Code adding two voting members to serve on the Goodyear Arts and Culture Commission.
7.C. 10-4548 Council appointed six commission members to serve on the Arts and Culture Commission for three-year terms and one alternate to serve on the Arts and Culture Commission for one four-year term.
The following citizens have been contacted and have agreed to serve on the commission:
1. Terms expiring on December 31, 2013: Ed Buonvecchio, Norman Crittle Sr., Norma Cunningham, Bonnie Lewis, Linda Strauss-Lewis and Jennifer Urbaszewski-Grono.
2. Term expiring on December 31, 2014: Melissa Kallett as Alternate.
7.D. 11-4567 Council appointed Karen Keith to the Planning and Zoning Commission to fill the term vacated by Gary Gelzer, which expires on January 31, 2012, or until her successor is appointed and qualified.
7.E. 11-4564 Council ratified the termination of the Professional Services Contract and Purchase Order Not to Exceed $864,055 with Durrant for the Master Plan of the Goodyear Operations Center site, and design of Phase I Facilities.
8.A. 11-4559 Council authorized Councilmember Sousa to serve as Acting Mayor in the absence or disability of the Vice Mayor until such time as the office of Mayor is filled.
8.B. 11-4568 Council continued to a future date Ordinance 11-1231 amending Article 2 (Definitions), Article 3 (Zoning Districts), and Article 4 (Special Uses, Uses Requiring Additional Evaluation, Nonconforming Uses and Buildings) of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Goodyear, Arizona, adopted May 24, 1999, as amended, to add definitions for "Medical Marijuana," "Medical Marijuana Designated Caregiver Cultivation," "Medical Marijuana Dispensary," "Medical Marijuana Off-Site Cultivation Location," and "Medical Marijuana Qualifying Patient Cultivation Location;" to allow medical marijuana uses authorized by the passage of Proposition 203 as principal permitted uses in the C-2 General Commercial District, I-1 Light Industrial Park District and I-2 General Industrial Park District subject to certain specific standards; providing for severability; declaring an emergency; and providing for an effective date.
