9-11 Memorial Service

(Goodyear, AZ) The Goodyear Fire and Police Departments, in conjunction with the United Goodyear Firefighters Local 4005, will be hosting their annual 9-11 Memorial Flag Raising Ceremony along with a pancake breakfast on Saturday, September 11, 2010. The community is invited to come out and join both fire and police officers on this special day of remembrance. This September 11th marks the 9th anniversary of the terrorist attacks that took the lives of police officers, firefighters, military personnel, and civilians in one of the largest domestic acts of terrorism on American soil in modern history.

This free memorial event will take place at Goodyear Fire Station 185 at 15875 W Clubhouse Drive, near the Pebble Creek Community, major cross streets of Pebble Creek Pkwy and Clubhouse Drive, ½ mile South of Indian School Road.

A flag raising ceremony will begin at 7:30 a.m., followed by a short memorial service. Immediately following the memorial service, a pancake breakfast will be served by Goodyear Firefighters with all donations going to firefighters charities.

Please join your local firefighters and police officers as they memorialize this great loss of life on this day in our history.
